課程簡介:
This course aims to equip senior university students with the knowledge to understand innovation management at the operational and strategic levels. Focusing on practical applications that address real-world sustainability challenges, the curriculum provides hands-on interdisciplinary practice. Students will learn to apply AI technologies to develop concept demonstrations for innovative solutions in the context of the circular economy.

課程設計:
Grounded in innovation management, the curriculum and student projects are structured to provide interdisciplinary learning experience, ensuring that students have the opportunities to explore and integrate knowledge across different fields to tackle complex real-world problems. Specifically, there are five core modules on innovation management lectures and five AI workshops that provide students with hand-on learning experiences that connect innovation concepts to AI tools.
The workshops are instructed by industry experts, providing students with practical skills and insights directly from professionals in the industry.
The subject of innovation management already lends itself to the goals of interdisciplinary learning. Managing the process of innovation requires understanding of science and technological development, engineering and design principles, as well as business and organizations. Furthermore, this curriculum and student project design also corresponds to the learning of STEAM: Science is addressed through mentioning relevant knowledge about environmental science and data science, specifically in terms of environmental sustainability and the use of data to inform decisions. Technology is emphasized through AI technologies and app development, with students learning about various AI tools and gaining hands-on experience in designing and prototyping innovative solutions.
Engineering principles are applied in product development and systems thinking, enabling students to design and prototype sustainable products. Art is incorporated through UI/UX design and design thinking, ensuring intuitive and engaging designs. Although in less complex forms, Mathematics may also be involved through basic statistical analysis and optimization techniques, with their applications in developing and validating innovative solutions.
Teaching Method Design:
1. Flipped Classroom Approach: Students are required to complete pre-class readings to prepare for in-class activities. Class time is dedicated to group discussions, case analysis, hands-on practice, and review on collaborative team projects.
2. Project-Based Learning: Students work on team projects throughout the course, applying AI tools to develop concept demonstration of working apps addressing innovative solutions for circular economy/sustainability challenges. 3. Hands-On Practice Sessions: Weekly hands-on practice sessions provide students with practical experience in using AI tools and platforms. These sessions are designed to build progressively, enhancing students' skills and confidence.
